Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy @ Bridgewater Hall
Will Oldham, the godfather of Americana, plays possibly the best sounding venue in Manchester.
Support from Faun Fables. Should be quite a night!

This sounds like a lovely evening: ‘Enjoy a night of music, poetry and bands staged in edifying surroundings with delightful and stimulating company.’
Bands include Dragging an Ox Through Water and Defunkles, with more to be confirmed.
The Basement, 24 Lever Street, Manchester M1 1DW
7pm til midnight, £4 (but its a fundraiser!)
Consistent and popular Americana man, for fans of Will Oldham/Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Daniel Johnston. Always does well in Manchester – and rightly so.
For £6 this looks like the best value gig this year. Grizzly Bear are a great experimental band from New York and this is their Manchester debut at the relatively intimate Star & Garter. Support from Kid Harpoon, Former Bullies and Lucy & The Caterpillar. The latter two I know to be great live.
This gig is now cancelled apparently.
