It’s about time this stuff got a backlash. People sometimes seem so stuck in the past of what Manchester was culturally in 1989 that they forget about how much is going on now.
Maybe if there were less of these “classic” indie nights that have been exactly the same for the last decade, the likes of XFM and The Revolution wouldn’t ply us with decade old music because clearly that’s what Mancunians all want to hear.
