RevolveWire Issue 1 is out now
Following last year’s impressive ‘preview poster’ , Ruth Heritage has now published the first issue of her Manchester-based, nationally-distributed periodical:
RevolveWire – an innovative, intelligent magazine, keeping a critical eye on arts and culture, bringing established and emergent artists, writers, stylists, musicians, and filmmakers together to create sexy, spiky and informed cultural commentary.
The first issue, themed ‘looking’, includes articles on how arthouse porn and online games influence our sex lives and the short film showcase SingleShot, which recently visited Manchester.
More Manchester interest comes in the form of a profile of 808 State/Toolshed musicians Graham Massey and Paddy Steer. Toolshed and local folk label Timbreland both contribute tracks to the cover CD.
RevolveWire, aimed at 22 to 39-year-olds, will be published biannually and should eventually feature a multimedia DVD. Issue 2’s theme will be ‘risk’.
Visit the RevolveWire Myspace for more information – including a list of stockists.
