This probably explains why I’ve yet to see another soul on Digital Futures‘ Second Life island:

We’re launching our Digital Futures area with a bang on Thursday night! Come, sip champagne and gaze at fireworks at the official opening of the Digital Futures Island in Second Life.

It’s a chance for you to explore the facilities, network with others and to learn more about the possibilities of Second Life. This will be the first of many events as we’ll be inviting experts in a regular basis over the next few months.

The show begins at 7.00pm and this link will take you straight to the island.

Second Life is well worth a go if you’ve not tried it before. I’m already a fully-subscribed ‘Digital Futurist’ myself, having tried the facilities out last week.
