Media: Digital Futures conference
Those lovely people over at Media Training North West have just announced the speakers for their new Digital Futures conference event next month:
Adam Gee, Commissioning Editor - New Media, Channel 4, will be discussing how digital technology is currently impacting on the media industry.
Mark Wheelan, Managing Director, Cake, will be looking at what is needed for successful collaboration between creatives, business people and technologists.
Grant Morrison, author, Judge Dredd, who has made millions from old media, will be discussing how he is now approaching making money from new media.
They will be speaking, with other media types, at the Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road on February 7, with the programme repeated in Blackburn on February 8.
The events are free but places are limited. To register your interest, fill in this form and send it to lynnk@mtnw.co.uk. And be sure to check the website for some interesting seminars and academies over the coming months too.

Thanks for the tip on this - It looks quite interesting. Let’s hope it’s not another of those Euro-funded waste-of-time events which do nothing more than keep the organisers in a job.
