Airs and Granges and flyer design
On a particularly fruitful flyer-grabbing run at the weekend, I picked up one for a day of concerts at the University of Manchester’s Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall.
Unlike most flyers for university-organised events, without the logo, the one for Airs and Granges - tomorrow - could have easily passed for an independent promotion.
The day itself looks great too: it’s a celebration of composer and professor of music Philip Grange’s 50th birthday, featuring three concerts and works by the university’s composition students.
The lunchtime (1.10pm) and electroacoustic (6pm) concerts are free, while the evening event (7.30pm) is 8, 5 or 3. Full information and online bookings through the Martin Harris Centre website or on 0161 275 8951.
