Levenshulme Bicycle Orchestra
Looking through Last.fm’s new gig listings section, I spotted Levenshulme Bicycle Orchestra. As the name suggests, they’re a bunch of residents who play music using bikes.
You can hear a few samples on their website or Myspace. I was surprised at how laid back and melodic the music is - I was expecting something percussive and loud.
If, like me, you’d like to see how the orchestra perform live, upcoming ‘gigs’ are next Friday, November 17, at Fuel in Withington, at The Basement on Lever Street on December 2 and at Levenshulme’s Klondyke Bowls Club on December 12.
