YouTube Tuesday: Madonna, The Tube, Hacienda
I’ve written before about The Tube making an online radio comeback, which Media Guardian reports is being recording at Salford’s Blueprint Studios.
Here, for those old enough to reminisce, and for us young enough to laugh, is Madonna at the Hacienda nightclub in 1983, performing Holiday for The Tube.

God I was there for that and remember it, despite it being a totally forgettable performance. Everyone just ignored he and carried on talking – she sounded nothing like that either. I think she land holiday, summat else, then holiday again. That was it.

Can anyone remember seeing Madonna live at the Hacienda at her first performance in 1983 and wouldn’t mind doing a quick phone interview with me about it? I’m looking to talk to someone who was there on the night to ask them what they thought of the then unknown Madonna and how she went down at the Hacienda.
