The Shortcuts spread in the Guardian’s G2 is consistently the paper’s best section, but yesterday it was something special.
Next to some San Francisco gangster slang definitions (You too can pop ya collar, fo’ sheezy) were two features of local interest: It’s bling up north previewed Channel 4’s new Cheshire-based series Goldplated, while Dominic Utton’s How to scam a scammer made me laugh out loud on the bus (not such a rare occurrence).
The latter is about scam baiting website 419eater.com and its 43-year-old Mancunian creator, Mike. I’d recommend a visit, to see the The Trophy Room if nothing else.
