This is just a quick email to invite you to an event being organised by the National Union of Journalists for workers in new media. Everyone is welcome – members and non-members.

The event will take place at the Lass O’Gowrie pub, on Charles St, just off Princess St (map), between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 12 October. Feel free to drop in at any time. We will buy the first drink and lay on some food. It will be an opportunity to network with other new media workers in the north west, and to find out more about the union.

You may not see yourself as a journalist, if you aren’t already a member, but the NUJ is the union for everyone providing content or design for the web, teletext, digitext, SMS, WAP or DVDs. We are the only organisation dedicated to improving the pay and conditions of new media workers. Everyday we provide help and advice to ensure people get the best out of their working lives.
